What Dream Wild is

Dream Wild lists 25 lodges, hotels and resorts across South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana, grouped into three collections: Bush & Safari, Coast & Leisure and Berg & Country. Of those, 17 can be booked online in about a minute; the rest are handled personally by our reservations team.

Who is behind it

Dream Wild is a collaboration between Leisure Options (Pty) Ltd and WildEarth, built around one idea: make these destinations easier to reach. Every property here is sourced through Leisure Options (Pty) Ltd, and every enquiry and booking is facilitated by them — you can reach a person on 011 267 8510, or send an enquiry.

How booking works

It depends on the property, and who you are actually booking with changes with it.

Where a property is integrated with the Leisure Options (Pty) Ltd booking engine, you book directly with that property. You are handed straight to their own system with your dates, guests and any promotion already applied, and your confirmation, payment, deposit rules and cancellation terms all come from them — not from us. That is also why there is no booking fee.

Where a property is marked “by enquiry” — most of the collection — you are booking through Dream Wild, powered by Leisure Options (Pty) Ltd. Send us an enquiry and our reservations team puts together a quote, valid for 24 hours from when it is sent. Accepting it tells us what you would like; it does not reserve the room, since we hold no inventory of our own and the same room can still sell elsewhere in the time it takes us to place your request. The booking is real once the property confirms it with their own reference number, and their booking, deposit and cancellation terms take over from there.

We do not take payment on this website, in either case. For an integrated property, payment happens on the booking engine itself. For a confirmed enquiry, we send a separate payment link once the booking is real — never before, since asking for payment on a room that might already be gone is not something we are willing to risk on your behalf.

Best-price guarantee

Find one of our stays cheaper elsewhere and we will do our best to match it. Rates offered to closed user groups cannot always be matched. If you find a better rate, tell us before you book and the reservations team will take it up with the property.

Keeping this current

For an integrated property, rates and availability are never stored on this site — they are read live from the booking engine at the moment you look, and if this site and the booking engine ever disagree, the booking engine is right. For a property marked “by enquiry”, no rate is shown here at all; pricing comes directly from a quote our team puts together for you, and if anything here ever disagreed with a quote we sent you, the quote is right.

Descriptions, photography and travel information are maintained by us and we work to keep them accurate, but a property can change something before we hear about it.

Our photography and descriptions

Property photographs are supplied by the properties themselves or come from our own shoots. Where a property is newly added and we do not yet hold photography, we show a plain placeholder rather than a stock image of somewhere else. Descriptions are written in-house; rates, availability and cancellation terms always come from the booking engine or the property, never from this site.
